Nicola Robson is a UK-based author-illustrator creating character-driven picture books rooted in warmth, emotion, and visual storytelling.
She is the author and illustrator of Dizzy Izzy, her debut picture book, and has illustrated a range of children’s books for independent authors. Nicola approaches each project with a strong sense of narrative, believing illustration should do more than decorate a page - it should carry meaning, feeling, and story.
Drawing has always been central to Nicola’s life. A lifelong animal lover and natural storyteller, she is particularly drawn to expressive characters, playful details, and moments that reflect the emotional truth of childhood. Her work balances energy and tenderness, using rich colour, texture, and movement to bring stories to life.
Based in the UK, Nicola lives with her husband, their daughter, and what she affectionately calls her small zoo of pets - two dogs and three cats - a constant source of inspiration for her work.
